NHS Direct has become a finalist in the National Customer Service Awards (NCAS) for the category, Customer Service Team of the Year: Public Service & Education Finalists.
Since 1999, the awards have celebrated the success and innovation in customer services of both private and public sector organisations throughout the country. It is the most prestigious, cross industry award programme in the UK.
This year, the NCAS received more entries than ever before. And all entrants were judged on their commitment to the quality in customer care in both their teams and organisations.
Other organisations competing for the Customer Service Team of the Year include Merseyside Police for their Citizen Focus Department and the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) for their Customer Services Improvement Team.
The winners will be announced in an awards ceremony held on Wednesday 9th September and the winner of this group will be entered into the Team of the Year Awards.
