If you need a dentist over the bank holiday, you should call your dental practice, if you have one, and follow their instructions (usually in the message on their answer phone) for contacting the out-of-hours service.
If you can’t access their out-of-hours information or you aren’t registered with a dentist, you can call us at NHS Direct on 0845 4647 and we can find an emergency dentist for you. Alternatively, you can contact your local Primary Care Trust (PCT) who can also put you in touch with an emergency dentist.
Any emergency dental treatment you receive will cost £17 unless you are entitled to free NHS dental treatment. NHS Choices have a full list of who can receive free NHS dental treatment.
