Regional outreach champions
NHS Direct has recently appointed nine members of staff to the role of Regional Outreach Champion. They will promote the use of NHS Direct’s services amongst local communities, and help the public to understand when they should contact NHS Direct rather than another healthcare provider.
In addition to their main role at NHS Direct, the Outreach Champions will work to develop and maintain relationships with local groups, such as Local Involvement Networks (LINks), voluntary and community groups, local businesses, and schools.
If you have an event or are part of a group who would benefit from a talk about NHS Direct, please contact the Membership Office who will be able to put you in touch with your local Outreach Champion.
