We currently have over 17,000 public members and over 3,000 staff members. Your opinions as a member of NHS Direct, are extremely important to us, so please tell us what you think about the newsletter.

You can also get involved with NHS Direct by attending one of the meetings, events and focus groups that are regularly held around the country.
We are planning a number of focus groups later this year. Please contact the membership office if you would like to be put on the waiting list to attend these or any other meetings or forthcoming events.

Board meetings are open to members of the public, and you are most welcome to join us. To attend or request hard copies of the papers in advance (which will be available 3 working days before the meeting), please contact the membership office.
Our Annual General Meeting will take place on 8 September 2009 at 10:30 am in London. This meeting is also open to members of the public, and will include the presentation of our annual report and accounts.
There will also be a question and answer session with the Board, and it would be great to see as many of you there as possible. Please let the membership office know if you are planning to attend.
