NHS Direct hosted a number of MP visits during August 2010 with more planned over the coming months. Following their election success, MPs are keen to find out how services are provided within their constituencies.
Members of our executive team and Regional Directors have been welcoming MPs to their local sites. The MPs were offered a briefing on NHS Direct and how the local centre is part of NHS Direct’s national network of linked contact centres, which provides a service to patients 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
Sir Alan Haselhurst visiting our Chelsmford call centre
The first meetings took place in August when Sir Alan Haselhurst MP (Saffron Walden) visited our Chelmsford site, Ms Luciana Berger MP (Liverpool Wavertree) visited our Liverpool site, Ms Lilian Greenwood MP (Nottingham South) visited our Nottingham site, Mr Christopher Chope OBE MP (Christchurch) visited our Ferndown site and Sarah Newton MP (Truro and Falmouth) visited our Truro site.
All were impressed with the service and enjoyed a tour of the site and an opportunity to meet with local staff and listen to calls.
To discuss how we can tailor make our services to your requirements, why not get in touch with our regional director in your area?
