NHS Direct is piloting three Online Patient Decision Aids to help patients make informed treatment choices in the first national web-based project of its kind in the UK.

New Wellness service to support patients

NHS Direct has been funded by the East of England SHA to deliver a new, innovative Wellness service which aims to support patients who either have, or are at risk of developing, long term conditions.

Medication safety project - reducing hospital readmissions

NHS Direct is working with the NIHR Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care on a medication safety project which seeks to identify and resolve medicine related problems experienced by patients discharged from hospital.
