New Chief Nurse/Clinical Director appointed
Tricia Hamilton has been appointed to the post of Chief Nurse/Clinical Director at NHS Direct.
Tricia has over 27 years of nursing experience, and has worked for NHS Direct for nearly 12 years, beginning her career with us as a nurse advisor. Her experience and knowledge of the organisation will be invaluable as she leads the important planning for the deployment of our nursing staff as we prepare for transition to the new NHS 111 service over the next year.
She will also be responsible for the clinical quality, safety and effectiveness of our present and future telephone and web based services. Key to this is ensuring that the 0845 4647 telephone service continues to support our patients’ clinical needs until the national roll-out of NHS 111.
