New online health and symptom checkers cover a wide range of symptoms
34 online health and symptom checkers are now available at www.nhs.uk/nhsdirect covering a wide range of symptoms. Whether patients have got common ailments like colds and flu or aches and pains, or potentially embarrassing problems like bad breath and incontinence, they’re all covered.
All of NHS Direct’s online health and symptom checkers have been developed to reflect the same protocols used by NHS Direct’s telephone advisors so patients get the same advice whether they use the phone or web.
NHS Direct wants to maximise access to its online health and symptom checkers so is making them available to public, private or charity sector organisations in England to use on their own websites. These NHS Direct branded, quality assured tools can appear in their entirety within other organisations’ websites, and can be fully customised to match host websites.
