Due to the success of the recently launched cold and flu symptom checker and contraceptive checker, NHS Direct will be launching a new range of symptom checkers in June.
The multidisciplinary delivery team has been working on the development of three new online symptom checkers covering male and female sexual health and mental health.
Both the male and the female symptom checkers use broadly based topics that will help users to resolve their sexual health concerns.
Given these issues often have a significant health impact and are a sensitive subject for many, they will direct users to appropriate public health services, with clear advice and information signposting.
The mental health symptom checker is a highly important service, given the state of the UK economy and its effect on personal wellbeing.
Whilst it isn't designed to solve the problems of those who have from long term mental health conditions, it offers effective advice and support to a growing population of individuals.
