Job alerts by email

Follow these instructions to register for NHS Direct job alerts straight to your inbox.

To register for NHS jobs by email:

1. To set up an alert you will need to register with NHS Jobs.

2. To register, click on ‘Register for an account’ in the green box. If you have already registered and would like to set up jobs by email, move to step 8.

3. Follow the instructions on this form. Make sure you fill in all fields marked with an asterisk (*).

4. You will see a section called ‘Jobs by Email’. Ignore this for now.

5. Once you’ve completed the form, click the ‘Acceptable Use Policy’ in the bottom grey box to read the terms and conditions. If you are in agreement, tick the agreement box.

6. Select ‘Create’.

7. You will now be registered with NHS Jobs and will have set up a ‘Jobs by Email’ alert. You can set up further alerts by following the steps below.

Once you have registered with NHS Jobs:

If you have already registered with NHS Jobs and want to set up ‘Jobs by Email’, or you have set up a ‘Jobs by email’ alert and wish to add further alerts, follow these steps:

8. Log into your NHS Jobs account by visiting NHS Jobs and enter your email address and password.

9. Select ‘My Jobs by Email’ on the left of the screen.

10. Select ‘Create’ under the section titled ‘New Search String’.

11. In the ‘Employer’ section, enter ‘NHS Direct’ and fill in any other boxes you think will be relevant to you. You can also choose how far you want to travel and the job title you are looking for.Typical roles at NHS Direct include health information advisors, nurse advisors, health advisors and dental nurse advisors.

12. Click ‘Save’
